
just a cute little picture to show the latest foods we're into.
he's enjoyed everything we've offered him so far:
CEREALS
rice cereal
oatmeal
multigrain cereal
ORANGE veggies
sweet potatoes
squash
and carrots most recently, as featured in the photo.
next week we're onto the GREEN veggies. green beans, peas and spinach (if i can find it anywhere, so far i haven't been able to find it... )
since tim and i love to eat and we're not picky eaters by any length of the imagination, we want to raise declan to enjoy a wide variety of foods as well. i don't know if you can even control what your kids will and won't eat, maybe it is hard-wired into their dna before they're even born, but we'll give him everything we can along the way. and we have decided when he's old enough to eat finger food and feed himself that we won't be making him special kiddie meals (ie, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, pizza) and that he'll just eat little pieces of what we're eating. not only will it be easier and more convenient for us around dinnertime, but i hope it will also encourage him to eat most things we put in front of him.
i can't wait to give him avocados and tomatoes, the only two foods in the world tim won't touch! declan and mommy will be eating guacamole together next summer! and if he's his father's son, they'll be eating ice cream together every night!
