a few weeks ago we enjoyed a perfect vacation at the beach. we, along with our friends the stewarts, rented a gorgeous beachhouse in the beachwalk resort neighborhood of michigan city, IN. it is right on lake michigan, and characterized by it's lovely colorful cottages and laid-back vibe.
to summarize some of the highlights of the week:
100% perfect weather
beach every morning for hours
cottage right out of a magazine
long naps from all the tired kiddos (and some for the moms & dads too!)
redamak's in new buffalo for burgers... so awesome we went twice!
cool playground
great pool, alternative to the beach. tough choices!
kids were well-behaved
we traded bbsitting duty so each couple got an exclusive date night
lighthouse place outlet shopping
ice cream after dinner
sangria, bourbon slushes and lots of landshark beer for happy hour every night
tim & i discovered a FANTASTIC restaurant in beverly shores, bartlett's
lived in our swimsuits + coverups all week
took home a few extra buckets of sand in our clothes, car and duffel bags
we couldn't have asked for a better week and definitely plan to go back!
