we had our 20 week ultrasound this morning, what an exciting day! i couldn't sleep well last night because the anticipation was just killing me! IT'S A BOY!!! i can't wait to hold him. i know all kids are so different and i can't wait to learn what this little one will bring to our family, but i secretly hope he is born with the same head of dark hair like his big brother. declan was such a beautiful baby.
here are the two signs that pointed to boy:
1) about 3 weeks ago pottery barn kids had their annual "friends and family" sale where everything is 20% off. so i went to get declan's big boy bedding, but i also picked up the matching baby boy bumper just in case i had a boy and they could have matching rooms.
2) the ultrasound tech introduced herself and just before starting the scan said she didn't know what our wishes were but she was on a big "boy" streak. i really knew it then! it only took her a couple of minutes to write the good news on the screen: "i'm a boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she said they usually go in streaks of 4 or 5 and this was her 4th boy ultrasound in a row.
i'm going to sign off so i can go nest now.
