it was at a new leaf, a beautiful urban loft space in old town/lincoln park. the setting was pure tina, she is such a stylish city gal. the space itself is very stark with exposed brick walls, steel catwalks and glass stairs but it was warmed up with the glow of hundreds of white votives everywhere and burnt orange table & chair coverings and autumnal flowers. there are not words for how beautiful the outdoor patio was... i have attached pictures from anl's own website. unfortunately they transferred over very tiny so you'll have to squint!

the food was awesome, just a sampling of our faves: lobster mac & cheese, mini bbq beef on cornbread, pear & brie quesadillas, mini meatloaf sandwiches, tuna ceviche, mini milkshakes and old fashioned cheeseburgers in wrappers and mini-corndogs.
tina looked beautiful, who would expect less. i peeked back before she walked up and got tears in my eyes. a cool detail was that andy picked the processional song for her to walk up the aisle and it was a surprise to her until that moment, you could hear the whole audience hold their breath before that song came on, like "what is it going to be?"... it was the beatles "baby i'm amazed at the way you love me all the time..." i don't know the exact song but i'm sure most of you can figure it out from that line. :) after the ceremony, their recessional was stevie wonder's "for once in my life". it was very non-traditional yet very personal and warm, a truly wonderful evening! congratulations you two - hopefully your napa hangover wears off soon and you can relax into married life with nothing else for tina to plan or coordinate!

oh, trix! reading your description of the evening made me tear up! it really was such a wonderful night. i am so sad that it's over. my mind's spilling over with memories and details. there should be paid bridal leave.
a new leaf...I recognized the place as soon as I saw the dance floor. My friend had her reception there back in May. It was such a neat place. So unexpected from the store front. I'm glad that you had a fun time.
