after four glorious months off, i headed back to work today. i don't think i'm really allowed to blog about my new place of employment, but it is abbreviated in some circles as ml. i am on a team of 5 and they seem as happy to have me as i was to find them! i decided to scale back my hours with this new opportunity so i can still be home most days with my little man. i work m/t/th and can tell that this is going to be the perfect work-life-balance i was looking for after having declan. today was a great day!
tim is working hard in his career at a place that is known for its baby shampoo... but he's not a shampoo salesman, more along the lines of large medical diagnostic machines. life is good!

So glad to hear going back to work was a positive thing. Makes coming home that much sweeter doesn't it?
I was very happy to hear that you and Declan both survived your first day back to work. I'll bet you were really anxious to see him at the end of your work day. It won't be long and you'll be into a nice routine. I am thrilled you were able to find something you like that also isn't full time. Sounds like a good fit for everyone.
sorry, I forgot to sign my name--not too adept at blogging yet Grandma Nancy
Grandma Nancy needs a Google account, so that she can sign in with a name.
It's great that you were able to find something part-time that still fits your interests.
sarah, it's great to know you're able to work while still being a great mom to declan! and i just have to say - he is one cute kid... that hair continues to amaze me!
also... your painting looks amazing. if you need more to do, just let us know and you can come do our home as well. we're still "all white" around here, and i think i'll be painting this spring/summer.
Is Declan sticking his tongue out in protest of you going back to work? I am so glad that you're still going to be Career Trix. It's important for a girl to have her own income so that she can afford to hit the Rack and the occassional crewcuts purchase for the tyke. You don't want to be THAT MOM in circa '04 outfits. Or worse, Apostrophe. Eeeww.
